FAQs

How do I change my password?

Navigate to “Settings” at the top right corner of your Socedo dashboard. Navigate to “change password”. Enter your current password, your new password, and hit “change password”.

How do I set up A/B testing for direct messages?

At the top navigation bar, select the“Edit Automation” tab. This will take you to a panel that shows your current workflow. Navigate to the middle of the page to find a section called “Direct Message A/B testing”. Put one message into the box labeled “Template A” and a different message in the box labeled “Template B”. Use the slider to select the percentage of people you want to send each message to. To learn more about how to use direct messages for lead generation, see our guide.

How do I export my leads?

There are two options for exporting your leads. You can choose to export lead data to CSV, or sync the leads into your marketing automation system or your CRM system. To start, navigate to “Lead Export. If you want to export the leads to a CSV file, simply select the type of leads you want to export and the date range you. Then, select the data you want from the “Exportable Columns” (i.e. Email address, Twitter handle, Company website, Company phone, etc) and hit “Export”.

If you would like to sync your leads into Hubspot, Marketo or Salesforce, please visit our Product Documentation page where we have specific guides on how to integrate Socedo with each of these systems.

Can I see how much traffic Socedo links bring to my website?

In the Report section of your Socedo account, under the title “Web Activity”, you can see how many website visits, total clicks, and form fills came from the links in your Socedo direct messages. We are able to track this data because all links in DMs sent through Socedo are shortened using unique Socedo tracking links starting with soce.do.

Within Socedo, you can also see the total referral traffic to your website from Twitter. This includes the direct traffic to your website from Socedo link clicks and the traffic from your organic Twitter activities. To enable this report, simply connect Socedo to Google Analytics.

Scroll down to the “Google Analytics” section of the Reports page. Hit “Connect to Google Analytics”. Choose the account you want for Google Analytics. “Allow” Socedo to have offline access. Completing this takes you back to Socedo. Go to the Reports page and you’ll see a new report called “Twitter Referral Traffic”. This shows you how many new visitors Socedo is sending you each day, week or month.

Alternately, you can navigate to “Settings” at the top right corner of your Socedo dashboard. Navigate to “Connect” and “Connect to Google Analytics”.

Can I track website conversions from Socedo links?

Yes, you can the actions that visitors take on your website (or conversions) after they click on Socedo links. To set up this tracking, you need to install a customized “tracking pixel” on your website’s conversion page. Once installed, the pixel will signal Socedo each time a lead reaches the conversion page (the page a user sees after completing your goal, such as a “Thank you for registering” page) and records this action. Socedo will be able to tell you not just how many people converted, but exactly which of your leads converted, when they converted, and how many conversions you got from each A/B tested direct message and each keyword.

How do I install a tracking pixel on my site?

At a high level, you’d want to follow these steps: 1. Generate a tracking pixel (Socedo will give this to you), 2. Install the pixel on your conversion pages, 3. Verify the pixel is working. For detailed instructions, see our guide “How to Install a Tracking Pixel” on our Product Documentation page.
